Wash and Roll: Painting the Figure in Watercolor and Gouache

July 16 - 18, 2009
9am - 4pm

Community Art School Studio Classroom - Arnold P. Rosen Family Education Wing

Facilitator: Kate Worm

"Wash and Roll" will emphasize composition, color and proportion in the human form using a non-traditional approach with watercolor and gouache. Participants will paint with rollers, washes, scrapers and eye-droppers. Working with an unclothed model, painters will explore fun but rigorous techniques in good drawing plus building beautiful neutral tones from vibrant color.

Supply list will be provided.

Kate's figures were featured in Watercolor Magazine Summer 2006. Read this article and see Kate's work at www.kateworm.com.

This event is presented as part of the Programs for Teens and Adults program.

Cost:

$120 for TCVA members

$150 for non-members
