What is art and who is an artist?
I believe art is the act of making special, an attitude, a way of living ... with openess, intention and wonder. Too many of us have lost the "art of living" in the busyness of our lives. Our culture does little to nourish and cherish the creativity within each of us.
The time we will spend together is about rediscovering the spirit that dwells within each of us that longs to look at life from new perspectives, to see life with fresh eyes, to see problems as possibilities, to see closed doors as opportunities. It is about process rather than product ... about surrendering our preconceptions and letting go of the voice that whispers or shouts "but I'm not an artist".
Set aside this time to be with the materials at hand, let go of things left undone and your concerns about tomorrow ... be present in the moment.
Join us on Sunday afternoons in March from 2 - 4pm at the Turchin Center as you discover the artist within using materials to create collages ... to create a new vision of your life. Enjoy creating art in community with others, inspiring one another as you work with materials found in your home to create images.
Open yourself to the possibilities.
